In an obvious reference to the pending uranium mining project, she said,"We will ensure that Meghalaya&aposs rich natural resources will be tapped in a manner that benefits all the people, and does not damage the environment."
Meghalaya was brought under President&aposs Rule after a controversial trust vote last month that the NCP-led Meghalaya Progressive Alliance survived after two independents and three MLAs withdrew support.
Gandhi&aposs main thrust in this Christian-dominated state was the BJP for its alleged&aposcommunal agenda&apos.
She termed the saffron party as being controlled by fundamentalist and communal forces which led to suffering in states like Orissa, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
