Congress Party on Wednesday sacked Abhishek Manu Singhvi as its spokesperson.
Kerala Congress was upset over Singhvi representing lottery baron in High Court. Kerala Congress had approached the party high command in this regard.
The congress Party has been opposing the lottery companies in the state.
But the party found it difficult to corner the ruling Left Democratic Front in Kerala over the issue as Abhishek Manu Singhvi became representation of lottery prometers in the Kearal high Court.
Singhvi’s involvement into the matter had brought storm in the state unit. However, Congress Spokesperson on Tuesday said, “Singhvi has withdrawn his name from the case.”
He had said that the party High Command was taking action against Singhvi in this regard.
Meanwhile, unwanted controversy has cost Singhvi his post in the party. Kerala Congress unit had launched a campaign against promoters of lotteries from outside the state.
