Congress to contest 26 seats in Maharashtra

New Delhi, Mar 21 : The Congress on Saturday said it has finalised a seat-sharing arrangement with NCP in Maharastra with the ruling party getting 26 seats and the Sharad Pawar- led party 22.

"Yes, we have finalised it (seat-sharing). Congress will contest 26 seats while NCP will contest 22," AICC media department chief M Veerappa Moily told reporters here.

The announcement by Congress comes after days of hard negotiations by both the parties.
